
Oysters with little lemon sandwiches
Ingredients of Oysters with little lemon sandwiches
1 thin-skinned lemon
12 freshly shucked oysters
4 slices thin wholemeal bread
1 tbs butter, softened
Preparation of Oysters with little lemon sandwiches
Remove the rind and pith from the lemon and slice as thinly as possible. Remove and discard any seeds as you cut.
Lay 2 slices of bread on a workbench and spread evenly with butter. Layer with lemon slices and season with salt and pepper. Top with remaining bread, remove crusts and cut into triangles. Season the oysters with black pepper and serve with lemon sandwiches.
