Ingredients of Holiday Angel Cookies Recipe
1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated sugar cookies
1 1/4 cups fluffy white whipped ready-to-spread frosting (from 12-oz container)
Blue and white sugars, if desired
Red decorating gel, if desired
Yellow decorating icing (or other colors as desired)
Small candy decorations, if desired
Description of Holiday Angel Cookies Recipe
1.Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. Cut chilled dough into 30 slices, about 1/4 inch each.
2.With 24 of the slices, cut 2 narrow strips from sides of each slice, leaving a triangle for body (see illustration). Place 2 strips on each side of top point of triangle, curved edges down, for wings. Cut 6 slices into quarters. Roll 1 of the quarter slices into ball; flatten slightly and place at top of triangle for head. On ungreased cookie sheets, place angels 2 inches apart.
3.Bake 7 to 11 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; carefully remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 20 minutes. Spread frosting on cooled cookies. Decorate as desired with remaining ingredients.
