Ingredients of Christmas Milk chocolate panforte (serves 8)
* 200g NESTLE Milk Melts, roughly chopped
* 100g macadamia nuts, toasted
* 125g brazil nuts, toasted
* 100g glace cherries
* 100g raisins, roughly chopped
* 100g sultanas
* 100g dessert figs, roughly chopped
* 3/4 cup plain flour
* 1 teaspoon mixed spice
* 2/3 cup honey
* 1/3 cup caster sugar
* 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, to serve
Description of Christmas Milk chocolate panforte
1. Preheat oven to180°C. Grease and line a 20cm (base) cake pan.
2. Combine melts, nuts, all fruit, flour and spice in a bowl. Make a well in the centre.
3. Heat honey and sugar in a saucepan over low heat, stirring, for 5 minutes, or until sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil without stirring. Reduce heat to low. Simmer for 2 minutes.
4. Pour honey mixture into fruit mixture. Stir quickly to combine. Press into cake pan. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow to cool completely in pan.
5. Slice panforte. Dust with cocoa. Serve.
